A newcomer to the gallery’s stable of artists is Lim AnNa, a young Korean artist. For Microcosm Lim has selected works from two of her series. The first series; The Romantic Soldiers depict minute, intricate stagings of war scenarios. All white toy soldiers play out their battles in an all white landscape. The only colour in these landscapes is the piece of food that represents the enemy. Lim graduated from the Visual Arts Division at the Sangmyung University, Korea and then went on to obtain her MFA at the University of California, USA. She has held numerous solo exhibitions in both the USA and Korea and has won several grants and awards including Young Photographer if the Year in New York.
